HDTV broadcasts and Blu-ray video are simply superb, to not mention the terribly wonderful 3D seen from Direct TV broadcasts. And by the method .. There are not any grayish backgrounds where one would expect black. On this TV, blacks are BLACK. Also, on mine, there's not any, ""buzz"" (someone here reported hearing a buzz) or any sound apart from program content in spite of how shut i purchase to the TV. If there was, i'd decision Panasonic's repair service. One factor I learned early is, do not mess with the colour changes on this TV right off the bat; wait a couple of days for the TV to stabilize then modify if you're feeling the requirement. the colour realism on this TV is extraordinary. Being generally an early adapter, I've owned a couple of different plasma TVs. My gripe with my earlier Panasonics is .. I might never get the reds quite right (leaned toward crimson), and there invariably perceived to be simply the slightest greenish hew. Yes .. I'm picky .. reasonably a perfectionist i assume. The reason for my having owned many TVs over the recent past is as a result of those before never appeared quite right. Panasonic TC-P58VT25 one though could be a keeper.
