Sony BRAVIA KDL55NX810 NX includes a dynamic(local dimming) edge lit LED, and also the distinction and blacks are wonderful. The 3D is gorgeous with very little ghosting, even with 3D set for max impact. I coupled this NX810 with Sony's new Blu-RAy S770, and also the image is gorgeous, nearly as good or higher than any theater, and higher than my previous LCD TV combo. I even have noticed that the NX810 may well be brighter. I realize myself using the 'vivid"" image setting throughout the day because the TV show was darker than desired when using customary or custom and lacked bright colours. As such, I can't use the cinema scene setting or theater mode throughout daylight and a few DVDs with voluminous 'dark scenes' don't show well with simulated 3D throughout daylight periods My one grievance is that the sound isn't what you'd expect from a $3K new Sony. The sound may be a low cost sound(tinny),and didn't meet by expectations since it's three speakers built-in. I ended up adding on the $359 NX810 optional stand (Bushin)(SU-B550S) that features a far better a pair of.1 sound system to compensate. Sony BRAVIA KDL55NX810 one choice proved to be value each penny because the audio is currently full and deep.
